Adding Watch Terms & Automatic Reserves

Are you wanting that new James Patterson as soon as it hits our shelves, or maybe just following a specific series? Well, “watch terms” have you covered.

The easiest way to add a watch term is to hit the NOTIFY button when looking at a book you like. Watch terms will pop up for you to click on from the genre or sub-genre, and/or the author, and/or a few other key words that would help describe the book.
These can also be added manually if you already know what you are looking for. To do this go to your account page and and go to the Watching tab. By default this page will be set to add watch terms for Authors. You can click Author for the option of Subject or Series Title (See figure 1 below). Enter the Author/Subject/Series Title you want to either be notified about or that you want automatically reserved for you ,and hit the purple plus button on the right to add them. If you only want a certain kind of material such as DVDs or audio books, you can click where it says Any Material Type to change it to the exact kind of item you would want to check out. Finally, as for the Reserve Automatically slider, if this is turned on when you put something into your watch list anything we get by that author/in that series/about that topic will be put on hold for you automatically. We will give you a call or a text as soon as it is ready for you.

Watch terms (See figure 2) can be edited at anytime by just clicking on them. This can be helpful if you want to change the type of item or turn your automatic reserves on and off. You can also get rid of any watch term by clicking the X on the right side of the term.
