Play for free and win fun prizes such as candy, bookmarks, trinkets, and more! We’ll play several rounds of bingo, ending with a coverall round. Keep an eye out for special themes with unique prizes!
Bunco
First Monday of every month
Play the classic parlor game Bunco!
Whether you love Bunco or have never played, come and play at the Library! Bunco is a fast paced dice rolling game played in groups of four. Anyone can win, including YOU!
Casey History Makers
First Saturday of every month
History isn’t going to make itself – it needs people like you!
Come leave your mark on history in this new genealogy-based group. The Casey History Makers will dive deep into the genealogy section at the library and work on researching, cleaning up, and building out the genealogy department. For 2026, we have some interesting projects we’d like to tackle that we need YOUR help for. Come let us know what you’re interested in participating in!
Chair Yoga
Currently on hiatus for Summer
Get your exercise and stretching in with easy, comfortable chair yoga!
Perfect for all ages, abilities, and experience levels, chair yoga is the activity for you! We’ll have a licensed yogi (yoga instructor) guide the group in an approximately hour long session. Everything you will learn is easy to practice at home! Participants should wear comfy clothes and will have the opportunity to take their shoes off, if desired.
This program is paid for by the Friends of the Casey County Public Library, thanks to all the wonderful support they receive from the community with their fundraising efforts.
Dungeons and Dragons
First Tuesday and fourth Wednesday of every month
Create your character, go on adventures, and see what fate has in store for you at the Library!
Whether you’re a level 20 adventurer or know nothing about tabletop role playing games, YOU can join our group! We simultaneously run two relaxed and fun filled sessions; one campaign focused more on combat and one campaign focused more on story and world building. Snacks provided!
Mahjong Class
Third Wednesday of every month
Learn to play Mahjong, a tile-based game originating from China!
Similar to Rummy, Mahjong players will need a mix of skill, strategy, and luck. A long-time friend of the Library will be teaching how to play, from the very basics to more complicated aspects of the game. We will be holding a Beginner Mahjong Class and an Intermediate Class – we recommend signing up for both!
Mystery Book Club
Second Wednesday of every month
Do you want to join a book club, but don’t want to be tied down to reading a specific book? This is the club for you!
Read a mystery book(s) of your choice, then come and discuss it at the Mystery Book Club! Trade suggestions, give reviews, and talk about that juicy mystery that had you up until midnight. Attendees are requested to bring a potluck dish. Eat, chat, and be merry!
Open Play Mahjong Night

Practice and show off your Mahjong skills at the Library!
If you’ve been itching for the classic tile-based game Mahjong, now is your time! Players with previous experience are invited to join us for an open play night. Even if you’re a bit rusty, we’ll have an instructor on hand to help! We have limited space available – so sign up quick to secure your spot!
Parched Pages Book Club
Third Friday of every Month
This is a book club like no other!
At Parched Pages, you’ll be served a menu – of both books and drinks! Each month we’ll have a unique theme that comes with five categories of books and five themed non-alcoholic drinks, plus a sixth category of digital reads. You’ll never know what kinds of books or delicious drinks we’ll have!
A librarian will guide the group through our menu of books, and you’ll have the opportunity to check out any book that catches your eye! Must have a Library card in good standing to check out books.
Poker Night
Third Monday of every month
Think you have the best poker face? Prove it at Poker Night!
Go big or go home (with candy!). The game is Texas Hold Em’ and the stakes are sugary. Compete with other participants to win, and of course get bragging rights. Never played poker before? This is a great place to learn!
NO Actual money will be involved – only candy!
Trivia Night
Second Monday of every month
Show off your knowledge at Trivia Night!
Bring a team of your own or join a team at the event and compete! Some months will feature a theme, while others will be general trivia. Snacks provided. The first and second place winners will get a prize!

Welcome to one of our longest running programs!
The Wild Readers is your classic book club, where members read the same book and come together for discussion. The book for the month ranges among genres, such as inspirational, historical, romance, and more!

Murder Mystery Dinner
Next Dinner: Tuesday, October 20th
Can you find the killer? Unravel the mystery and solve a murder!
Clues and live actors will guide you to the truth – but beware! Not everyone wants their secrets revealed or the murderer exposed. Dinner and refreshments will be provided! There will also be a door prize!
Sign-ups required – 10$ per person. Message us here, visit the Library, or call us at (606)787-9381 to sign up. We ask that attendees pay within one week of signing up, if possible.
Sign-ups open the month of the Murder Mystery Dinner.
Murder Mystery Dinners take place every 3-4 months.
